About Agora World
'Agora' is a word for the ancient Greek city-centers which doubled as a marketplace and a central place of assembly for citizens. The Agora was where democracy was born; where meetings of the minds took place; where the intellectuals, the philosophers, the people would gather to learn, share ideas, and socialize every day.
Today, the Internet acts as our Agora - the world's central place for commerce and the spread of information. However, one element of these city-centers remains elusive on the Internet - meaningful social interactions.
Let's face it: genuinely connecting with others virtually today is difficult. Zoom just doesn't cut it, especially when interacting in large groups. That's why we are building Agora World, a simple platform that empowers you to bring people together online in your own custom immersive experience.
So, what are you waiting for? Build your Agora today.

A non-technical founder, Ethan bootstrapped Agora from an initial prototype into a company with five full-time team members. He is most fascinated by the Agora product's potential to empower anyone, including himself, to be an immersive experience and video game developer. In his spare time, Ethan enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing sports, playing video games, and designing and building things.
Sky Nite
An 8-year Unity developer, published author of 2 books, and a seasoned entrepreneur, Sky is a veteran of the once-nascent VR industry. He began building on VR while in college at UC Berkeley, and turned his interest into a successful career writing VR coursework and building training modules and games. Currently residing in Seattle, his passions outside of VR development include hip-hop dance, eating new foods, traveling, and trying new video games on Steam and VR.
